The Product Manager is tasked with delivering the most advanced product and service engagements and also managing teams developing product ecosystems within a program of work. The Product Manager is responsible for developing the engagement strategy and successfully executing it across their business, ensuring smooth overall product development.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

The Payments Product Manager role is responsible for defining and implementing the Payments Product business strategy. Working closely with all Transaction Banking teams including Operations, Engineering and Sales to implement and manage core payment rails and develop innovative new payment solutions to meet client needs. The role requires a deep understanding of Corporate payments and payment rails integration including cross border/cross currency solutions as well as connectivity and integration solutions for corporate ERP and Treasury Workstations. Understanding of client challenges/opportunities and industry trends will be required as inputs into the Payments strategic product roadmap.

The Team

Payments Product Team sets the strategic direction of Transaction Banking’s Payments Product business as well as builds the core payments platform for making and receiving payments around the world. We provide our clients a simple, intuitive, secure, and frictionless experience for domestic, cross-border and cross-currency payments. Simplifying payments making it just as easy to pay someone across the globe as it is to pay someone around the corner.

Responsibilities include:

  • Function as subject matter expert across global payments solutions, including SWIFT, FPS, CHAPS, BACS, SEPA, SEPA Instant, TARGET2, and cross-border cross currencies
  • Work directly with Transaction Banking Sales teams and Clients to understand their needs and assist with solution design and implementation
  • Define JIRA epics, stories and test cases for new requirements
  • Execution of test cases
  • Support Sales with client needs identification, solution recommendations and pricing
  • Support Sales in responding to complex RFPs, non-standard information requests,
  • Support Sales in delivering product demos and best and final solution presentations (over phone or in-person)
  • Provide training and support to Sales and business partners on new payments product capabilities
  • Contribute input into marketing strategy and communications plans
  • Moderate travel is required for the role

Ideal candidate has:

  • Experience as a product manager, business analyst, payments engineer or payment operations associate or directly related experience
  • Proven track record in balancing customer’s outcomes, business needs, technical feasibility and delivery given constrained resources and timeline
  • Success in navigating corporate environments and startups
  • Comfortable in the fast lane: Experience with driving rapid team and product growth
  • Mission Driven: Must be a strong believer in the team and mission
  • Inclusive Culture: Considerate to the cultural differences of team and a diverse user-base
  • Forward thinking: Anticipation of organizational needs for efficiency
  • Ability to understand and articulate customer needs and turn requirements into actionable solutions
  • Excellent organizational, time management and planning skills
  • Experience of maintaining requirements and information in JIRA and Confluence

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in payments related role

Preferred Qualifications / Experience

  • Technical expertise and experience of ISO 20022 and SWIFT standards across payments and cash management domains
  • Detailed knowledge of domestic and international payment rails
