The role
We are currently seeking a caring, compassionate and committed professional to join the Patient Services Administration team which provides a responsive administration service to facilitate the smooth running of our Gateway, Family Support, Community Nursing and In-patient Unit teams.
The Patient Services Administrators team are a cohesive team who work flexibly in conjunction with other administrative staff to ensure that all departments are able to function efficiently. You will need to be flexible to work between the different services and able to communicate confidently with professionals. The successful candidate will work 3 days per week, Mondays – Sundays on a rota basis.

About you
This is a varied role which requires excellent communication skills both face to face and on the telephone as you will be a point of contact for visitors to the In-patient Unit as well as liaising with anxious patients and families on the telephone as part of the Community Nursing Service. Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare setting would be an advantage and strong administration skills, attention to detail and a compassionate and caring nature are essential. Good knowledge of Microsoft office programmes are essential, as well as a willingness to learn and develop skills using our bespoke database. Full training will be provided.
St Richard’s Hospice care for adults with a serious progressive illness, improving their quality of life from diagnosis, during treatment and to their last days. We also support their loved ones. Each year the hospice team supports more than 3,100 patients, family members and bereaved people in Worcestershire.
