The Care Collective are recruiting for Care Support Workers in the Blackwood area.

We are a Domiciliary and Outreach Support Service, providing support to family members who are carers.

The Role

As a care support worker, you will provide essential support to unpaid carers allowing them to take a break from their caring responsibilities knowing that their family member, partner, close friends are receiving the support they need to remain in their homes.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

- Provide assistance and support to individuals in their daily activities

- Assist with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

- Administer medication and monitor health conditions

- Prepare meals and ensure dietary needs are met

- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry and cleaning

- Assist with transportation to appointments or social activities

- Engage in meaningful conversation and provide emotional support

- Document and report any changes in the individual's condition

What you need

- Driving licence and access to a vehicle for work

- Have the right to work in the UK,

- Previous experience in caregiving is preferred

- Be a caring and compassionate person,

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Compassionate and patient demeanour

- Reliable and punctual

- Willing to obtain and work towards QCF level 2,

What we can offer you as a Carer Support Worker

· £11 -£13 per hour including travel time.

· £0.35 per mile

· Flexible hours, we can offer a range of hours that will help you have a healthy work
life balance.

· Incremental sick pay related to length of service.

· Free DBS check and renewals

· Free Social Care Wales registration

· 25 days annual leave + bank holidays (pro rata)

· Additional A/L for over 5 year service

Salary: £11.00-£13.00 per hour
