We are looking for an experienced Stores Operative to join our small team in delivering an array of activities to enable and efficient and effective service to our production teams.
It is an exciting time to be joining Stores, as we have recently made a significant change in our stock management system. Due to this we are looking for candidates who can adapt to a varied working environment and who want to help improve our current processes.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Stores Operator is responsible for efficiently managing inventory, including product piece parts, subassemblies, finished product and consumables.
Duties include, but are not restricted to:
- Complete assigned daily tasks, such as picking, packing, goods receipt, checking, loading and unloading of vehicles and processing returns;
- Carry out administrative tasks, including production picking of orders and the booking in and out of stock;
- Operate Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other required computer based tasks;
- Kanban replenishment round for chemicals in the factory.
ABOUT YOU
As a team, we work really closely together to support all areas of the department. We are currently training to become a multi skilled team in order to deliver an effective service to our Production team. We will support and develop this individual, therefore would suit someone who is keen to learn and take on a new challenge. To be considered for the role you require:
- Manual handling experience is essential;
- The ability to work on own initiative, as well as being a good team player;
- Attention to detail;
- Methodical worker;
- Diligent and conscientious with duties;
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to new working environments;
- Previous experience within a warehouse/stores environment (Desirable);
- FLT Counterbalance license holder (Desirable).
