Do you have a passion for making a positive impact on young people and children?
We are looking for a select group of creative, energetic and enthusiatic individuals to join our Ofsted regulated Residential Care Home, for young people aged 10-18. This excellent opportunity provides working alongside children and young people who may have Emotional, Behavioural and Development difficulties.
The role can be incredibly rewarding, but can also be challenging at times. We will be there during the good times, as well as the difficult times, and will need to show resilience and determination to overcome the hurdles, and support them with their emotions and behaviours.
You will have some experience of working with children with emotional and behavioural needs within a residential home environment . You will need to have a good understanding of the impact of trauma on young people, and the challenges they face.
Night duties include supporting night time and morning activities including personal care, domestic work and responding promptly to provide support as required throughout the night.
There will be additional cleaning duties and paperwork to complete alongside your supporting duties. You will be expected to carry out everyday tasks including support and encouragement with personal care as well as taking part in a range of interests and activities that make up a healthy, well balanced and fulfilling lifestyle.
You will be required to stay alert and awake during the whole shift, in case of any issues or requirements from young people. There will always be another member present in the home to support you in you. Work in a person-centred way to create opportunities for personal development and growth
Where required, prompt or administer medication accurately and keep all records up to date, and to report any serious issues to the on-call Manager immediately.
Experience of working within any residential care setting is desirable, and good written and verbal skills with ability to convey information clearly confident.
Enhanced DBS will be required.
