Job description
SUMMARY: Follow up with insurance payers on claim resolution. Process bankruptcy notices. Applies knowledge of payor contracts and member co-pay and eligibility requirements. Document action taken on patient's account. Process account correspondence. Performs calculations and clerical duties involved in processing Medicare/Medicaid claims. Provide phone coverage as needed.
Required Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Experience: Recent third party payer experience, including insurance follow-up in a medical setting; proven skills in collection, basic computer operation; problem solving and communication
Location: Liberty Hospital · NLHC Billing Office
Schedule: Full Time, Days - Flexible
