Derbyshire County Council is seeking a dynamic and experienced Resilience Partnership Manager to support the Derbyshire Resilience Partnership. This is a new role, providing you with the opportunity to really make this role your own and make your mark on our team and play a pivotal role in enhancing our county's resilience. This is an exciting time to be joining us - we have a big agenda and lots to do to drive forward the delivery of strategies and objectives of the Derbyshire Resilience Partnership (DRP).
As the Resilience Partnership Manager, you report directly to the DRP Chair and will work closely with strategic and tactical-level partners within the DRP constituent to ensure that their duties under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and associated guidance are delivered.
Key responsibilities of this role are:
- Develop and review a DRP Annual Plan which clearly sets out the tasks and objectives required to achieve the overall objectives set out in the DRP Five-Year Strategy and the resource requirement necessary to achieve this
- Lead colleagues to deliver projects and related initiatives that they are responsible for, providing clear organisation, direction, and development
- Liaise closely with the emergency/civil contingencies planners within the DRP constituent agencies
- Continually monitor and evaluate outcomes to ensure alignment with the partnership’s objectives
- Attend and chair a range of high-level meetings to update and consult on progress and potential obstacles to the successful delivery of the DRP Annual Plan and Five-Year Strategy
We are looking for someone with:
- A relevant degree or professional qualification e.g. Project Management PRINCE 2 or Diploma in Emergency Management
- Substantial experience of operating at a senior level e.g. with Chief Officers and senior colleagues
- The ability to formulate, sustain and lead effective working relationships with partner agencies.
- Excellent leadership skills to inspire, motivate and develop team members to high levels of performance
- A good knowledge of current national Civil Contingencies legislation and proposed new national developments
- Substantial experience of managing large, diverse and highly complex projects, with the ability to deliver to timescales and budgets

This role is contractually based in Matlock, Derbyshire, but flexible/hybrid working options are available. There'll be an opportunity to discuss future working arrangements at interview.
