Job Description
RUAS are excited to offer a position for an Experienced UAS Pilot, this new position will add to an already rapidly growing and diverse Pilot Team. Our newest member of the team will be responsible for all on-site data acquisition whilst ensuring the safe utilization of unmanned arial systems, to provide our clients with a highly sophisticated product.
The ideal candidate will have piloting experience in a number of environments to include UK Rail Networks, Oil & Gas Assets (off-shore preferable) and Renewable Energy Assets (Solar Farm etc.). a successful applicant will also play a significant role in not only data acquisition but also the processing and the presentation of data. Data will typically include photography & videography, photogrammetry, LiDAR, thermal imagery, and GNSS survey control data.
Requirements
- GVC or Equivalent Qualified
- Extensive experience of working within an Operational Safety Cases
- Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET)
- Helicopter underwater Escape Training (HUET)
- Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS)
- Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST)
- Emergency First Aid Trained
- Medical and Fitness Certificate
- Must hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and operate in the outdoors for extended periods
- Surveying or Inspection experience
- Over 100 hours logged commercial flights
- Knowledge of photogrammetry and associated software applications
Responsibilities
- Creation of RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements), Pre-Deployment & On-site Surveys in line with company procedures
- Post operations management, including data transfer to the relevant team
- Conducting Drone Operations as a RPAS Pilot with a variety of UAS platforms and Payloads
- Logging of Operational Hours and relevant documentation using our internal system
- Working Offshore as and when required
- Reporting to the Operations Manager
