Job Introduction

BBC Children in Need are looking to recruit a Partnership Manager to join their High Value Partnership team on a permanent basis.

As the BBC’s UK Charity, BBC Children in Need exists to make a positive difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. Our refreshed objectives and activities will ensure the impact we have on children’s lives is front and centre of the work the charity undertakes over and above the projects and services we fund.

Our focus is on finding and funding the inspiring ideas that change children’s lives.

Main Responsibilities

Partnership Managers manage and drive a portfolio of partners who can help to add breadth and depth to the annual Appeal as well as generating essential income. This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation where your stakeholder management and relationship building skills will make a difference to the lives of over half a million disadvantaged children and young people right here in the UK.

Your primary responsibility is to generate and drive sustainable and strategic partnerships with commercial organisations, meeting increasing annual targets for income, campaign presence, impact and reach.

In this role you will manage a specified portfolio of partners at a senior level to develop their own bespoke fundraising campaigns, working across product development, brand engagement, PR, marketing, events and social media.

You will manage, motivate and drive partnerships by engaging staff, customers and key stakeholders at every level by bringing to life BBC Children in Need and our values in addition to seeking out new opportunities to increase income and reach new audiences across a number of sectors through engagement, product creation, campaign development and third sector initiatives.

The Partnership Executive will also monitor, review, evaluate and present strategic growth areas to dedicated partners and maintain a thorough analysis and reporting process.

Are you the right candidate?

We are seeking a Partnership Manager with a proven track record of driving mutually beneficial corporate partnerships in a competitive commercial environment. Ideally, you will have strong relationship building skills and have experience of operating and managing key stakeholders at a senior level with the ability to develop bespoke programmes to drive revenue and engagement.

Experience of working as part of a creative team developing high profile consumer campaigns and exposure to brand partnership marketing is highly desirable. In return, you will be supported by a friendly team environment and provided with the resources to be successful in your role.
