Part time Tutor
Casual/Relief basis
Pay rate: £18 per hour
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, outstanding and innovative professional to provide literacy and/or numeracy tuition to support our disadvantaged and struggling KS3 pupils. Tuition will take place during the school day and will involve around 3-4 pupils in a group. The successful candidate will be able to adopt a flexible approach to working patterns and be reliable. Working hours will vary and will be dependent upon the needs of our pupils.
The role:
- plan and deliver small group tuition and intervention
- assess pupil progress during and after the sequence of tuition in half termly cycles
- Produce feedback reports for teaching staff and Heads of Year
- Work with pupils to identify barriers to learning and provide motivational support
Candidates must have:
- GCSE above 4 (C) in Mathematics and English or equivalent
