We are looking to employ a Part Time Golf Shop Assistant to work at our Golf club.
Job Summary:
To provide excellent customer service, assist in the smooth running of the Golf Shop and Golf Course and follow the correct booking and monetary procedures.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide excellent customer service both on the telephone and in person in a timely and courteous manner.
- Ensure that customers are welcomed to the Club and treated in the manner expected.
- Take golf bookings in person or on the telephone and enter them onto the golf booking system accurately.
- Check golfers in and collect the applicable green fees/monies following the correct procedures.
- Sell merchandise with a view to maximising sales.
- Assist with stock control and stock rotation as applicable.
- Assist with keeping the Pro Shop and surrounding patio areas clean and tidy
- Assist with the collection and putting away of golf buggies.
- Follow the correct opening and end of day procedures.
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by changing circumstances and the overall objectives of the Company.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
- Experience of working in a golf environment preferred.
- A keen golfer or someone with an interest in golf
- Retail experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic IT skills
- Flexible approach to your role
- Ability to work effectively on a daily basis with limited supervision
- Punctual and reliable
