LOCATION Milton Keynes with Flexible and Hybrid working

SALARY 25,000 to 31,000 FTE (15,625 to 19,375 prorated) DOE + benefits

HOURS 25 hrs per week, at least 4 days


Are you AAT qualified or actively studying towards, or have experience of month end close and working towards tight deadlines?

Do you have experience of purchase ledger, including staff expenses & VAT compliance?

We are currently looking for a friendly and organised individual with an accurate approach to their work to join our small Finance team.

This role will be based both remotely and in our Milton Keynes office when required.


A DAY IN THE LIFE

You’ll play a key role in ensuring timely supplier payments and supporting our month end close. Working remotely and in a close knit finance team your busy day will encompass the following:


  • Maintaining all aspects of purchase ledger using Microsoft Business Central & Adobe Secure Sign
  • Maintaining all aspects of staff expenses using ExpenseIn with the ability to identify VAT implications
  • Organising and maintaining a library of encrypted purchase ledger documents
  • Preparing the monthly cash forecast for purchases in line with Group reporting requirements
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register including additions, disposals, and depreciation
  • Performing key month end reconciliations including debtors & creditors.
  • Journal preparation & posting
  • Supporting the annual group financial statements & audit process with UK related requests

ABOUT YOU

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:


  • Purchase ledger experience is essential
  • Ability to correctly account for VAT
  • Well organised & methodical approach to your day
  • Confidence & ability to work with staff of all levels
  • Confidence to ask questions if things don’t look right
  • Good use of Excel, Outlook & Teams
  • Self-motivated with ability to work alone and in a team

Experience in Microsoft Business Central and ExpenseIn is desirable but not essential.
