About the role
You will be one of 4 Project Managers working in our Parking Design and Implementation Team, delivering a wide range of exciting projects from new Parking Schemes to Cycle Parking programmes and new mapping systems as well as a programme of maintenance works. We are looking for a new Parking Scheme Project Manager to lead a small team, using technical drawing software, the collection and analysis of data whilst ensuring a first-class customer focused service is delivered.
Your role will be delivering projects that ensure resident’s, visitor’s and business’s parking needs are met by designing parking schemes that contribute to the Council’s carbon neutral objectives and road safety initiatives.
You will use your knowledge of civil works and road surfaces along with a practical understanding of industry standards and materials to design quality parking schemes. You will be able to understand and apply regulations and legislation to ensure parking schemes are enforceable to keep the city moving.
You will be a confident communicator that values and understands the importance of public consultation. You will have the ability to write and produce objective reports for scrutiny by the public and Councillors.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
Work Permits: We may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System. Please see Gov.uk for more information on the Skilled Worker Visa.
We offer the opportunity for the suitable candidate to choose to work in a hybrid way. Your specific working arrangements will be subject to team and service working arrangements already in place alongside Government guidance. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team and travel to and from your contractual location would be at your own expense.
