Your ideal location: Newbury

Performing over 40,000 calibrations per year, we ensure our client's measurements & equipment are compliant to the latest National and International Standards and so improving accuracy and efficiency in their process.

Using calibration references with the highest levels of traceability back to National and International Standards.
Creating confidence in the calibration and service we perform by consistently working to documented procedures and training our staff to the required level.

Developing long term relationships with our customers by operating in a transparent and honest manner, ensuring that we listen to our customers and proactively responding to their requests, maintaining accessibility of our senior management.
Incorporated in 1975, European Instruments employs 30 people nation-wide delivering our services throughout the mainland UK. We operate to stringent quality standards including UKAS (ISO17025) for calibration and IS09001.

ROLE:
This is a field based position that involves travelling to customer sites to perform our range of calibration services. A company car is included, typically a Ford Focus Estate (or equivalent), which is also available for personal use.

Our range of calibration services currently include:

  • Weighing equipment
  • Pipettes
  • Temperature

Calibration of the above equipment must be carried out in accordance with our documented quality system and procedures. Full training is given to enable you to complete all aspects of this position and on the job support is provided by our in-house technical team.

Most of our business is with repeat customers, therefore you will visiting the same sites year after year. Once trained and experienced work jobs are issued in advance leaving you to arrange your own work schedule for the coming month(s).

ABOUT YOU

  • Can demonstrate a technical aptitude in past roles and a willingness to learn new technical skills
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Driving license and preferably experience of a field based technical role
  • Experience of scientific / laboratory markets is ideal but not essential

REMUNERATION

  • Gross Salary Range (including pension): £32,000 to £34,000
  • Private healthcare (after 12 months service)
  • Company Bonus
