A great opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join our Family team based at our offices in Maidstone, Kent, full time, Monday – Friday, to assist with RSPCA work and to provide general support to the wider family team.

The role
- Liaising with clients, the Court Service and relevant third party intermediaries in person, by telephone and e-mail
- Produce standard and own drafted documents (letters/emails/forms) accurately and on time as directed by the fee earners and as required to progress ongoing matters
- To meet and contribute to meeting departmental financial and performance targets (including own individual financial performance)
- To accurately record time and ensure time recording targets are achieved
- Attending team, firm and training meetings as required
- Assisting and supporting all members of the team
- Undertaking any other reasonable tasks, duties or requests as and when required by the team or the wider partnership
Are you the right person?
- Experienced as a Paralegal or Legal Secretary is desirable but not essential
- Customer service skills/experience
- Excellent IT skills
- Ability to use a CMS or willingness to learn
- Strong numeracy and the ability to understand financial ledgers
- An appreciation of the need for discretion and confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
