Telecoms Director Wanted for an Established Civil Engineering Group

An outstanding opportunity has become available to join a reputable Telecoms, Civil Engineering and Groundwork's group based in Kent.

The group, with a turnover of £100 million+ and a fleet of over 800 vehicles is expanding at a rapid pace. They have a well-known reputation for being innovative, dependable, and dedicated to maintaining a safe work environment. As the Director of their Telecoms division, you will be responsible for expanding the company's operations while ensuring profitability, prioritizing the safety of staff, and ensuring projects are completed to the highest standard. You will lead and inspire the team, while also building and maintaining key relationships with customers and other business leaders in the group to drive the company's growth.

Key Responsibilities:

TECHNICAL

  • Possess the necessary technical knowledge and experience to advise and guide the team effectively on technical delivery
  • Lead the quality assurance of work and maintain credibility with clients and team members
  • Understand the technical and design requirements of projects and ensure compliance with relevant technical, health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Provide input and guidance on the technical aspects of projects and the appropriate approach to delivering the desired outcome
  • Have a working knowledge of Business Management Systems, QMS Systems, Industrial Relations Frameworks, and HR policies

LEADERSHIP

  • Ensure performance, productivity, quality, and innovation of service is maintained and improved
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and industry influencers to promote the company brand and growth goals
  • Foster collaborative relationships with other business leaders and managers within the group to deliver a portfolio of projects

COMMERCIAL

  • Prepare the annual Business Plan and set budgets and targets
  • Lead the P&L for the business
  • Manage risk and opportunity, including accreditation's and insurances
  • Have legal and contractual ownership for the business

Package:

Role: Director of Telecoms

Overall package: £200,000

Location: My client has offices across the South and South East
