The Role

Assisting all members of the Legal team including the Head of Legal & Company Secretary. Whilst Premium Credit is a regulated financial services company, the work you will be involved in will be varied and will also include areas such as general commercial law, data protection, corporate law, employment, insurance, and disputes.
More specifically, you will:
- conduct general contract reviews; legal overviews and summaries of commercial agreements with our partners;
- draft contract variations and various deeds relating to partner agreements (for review by Legal Counsel);
- assist with the review of supplier contracts;
- carry out legal research; horizon scanning for changes in law and regulation;
- monitor group company filing deadlines and assist with filings at Companies House;
- assist with PCL legal precedents and procedures (NDAs; legal due diligence on proposed counterparties; and other proforma documentation);
- assist the Company Secretary with general duties including preparation for Board meetings, and attending meetings to take minutes when required;
- contribute to and help build the Legal Operations strategy to include keeping know how / FAQ’s for the business up to date, as well as helping the team develop new processes and procedures;
- assist with customer complaints and incidents where legal input is required.

We are keen to hear from individuals who wish a pursue a career as an in-house lawyer, and we would be willing to consider offering a training contract after a period of time working as a paralegal.
To be considered as Paralegal, you will need:
- Law Degree
- Legal Practice Course
- Good communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and strive for improvement
-Proficiency in MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience of working in a commercial / office environment background and some legal support / paralegal work experience would be beneficial to your application.
