Job description
Lightfoots LLP Solicitors are looking for a Paralegal to join their Lender Finance / Bridging team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection and organisation of documents and information from various cases within the lender team and generally assist the fee earner with their files and case management on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities
- Review and draft routine legal documents;
- Create and maintain case files;
- Conduct legal research;
- Registering applications on Companies House;
- Dealing with enquiries from Companies House and Land Registry, as necessary;
- Issuing security documentation;
- Handling completion monies;
- Preparing invoices and ensuring all fees are accounted for prior to completion;
- Reporting on title upon completion;
- Dealing with post-completion work, such as redemptions, consent to lease, s106 approval and so forth; and
- Generally assisting fee earners with their files.
Qualifications
- Experience as a legal secretary or assistant or paralegal
- Preferable 1-2 years' experience in similar role
Key Skills
- Knowledge of legal finance practice is a plus
- Solid written and verbal communication skills are needed
- Ability to be proactive and handle a busy workload
- Ability to perform well under pressure and work to tight deadlines
