Wellbeing Engagement Worker
£25,408 per annum (37hours per week)
Fixed term until 31st August 2024
Choice of Central Ipswich or Bury St Edmunds as part of Wellbeing service
About the role
This varied role will focus on improving the mental health care experience and outcomes of those with a caring role in Suffolk, by supporting community development through the Wellbeing social model, focusing on the wellbeing of family carers.
For this role, we work in partnership with Wellbeing Suffolk, who provide a range of support for people with common mental health and emotional issues, such as low mood, depression, anxiety or stress, working with people to help make changes to improve wellbeing and quality of life. The post holder will be employed by Suffolk Family Carers, but will be working as part of the Suffolk Wellbeing Service.
About you
· You will be responsible for highlighting gaps in service provision and improve service capacity including with regard to family carers raising awareness of family carer needs, making it easier for family carers to access Wellbeing and other health services.
· You should have a clear understanding of the social, educational and emotional impact of family carers, experience of seeking, receiving, sharing and acting on feedback alongside excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage, motivate and empower individuals and groups from a variety of backgrounds.
· You should have the ability to travel across the county, including rural locations is essential.
The successful applicant will be subject to an Enhanced DBS, which will be carried out as part of the pre-employment process.
