YOUR ROLE
Our Conveyancing Paralegals play a vital role in the preparation of auction packs on behalf of our client iamsold and support the Conveyancing team in ensuring a smooth sale transaction within the required timeframes.
What you’ll be doing:
- You’re a deadline hitter. Handling your own case load of pre-sales Auction Pack files. You’ll be organised and effective and obsessed with hitting deadlines
- You’re all about the customer. Using your strong customer service and relationship building skills to liaise with buyers, vendors, and solicitors on their transaction
- You’re a problem solver. Obtaining and checking land registry documents and title deeds (if the land is unregistered), identify title defects and any issues such as potential adverse possession claims, lost title deeds, name discrepancies and bring these to the attention of the Team Leader
- You’re a great communicator. Liaising with clients advising on technical content and answering any queries on their transaction both written and verbal.
- You have an eye on the detail. Carrying out and checking pre-contract searches (eg: is it affected by local authority proposals, leases, easements or covenants, mortgages, land tax, susceptibility to flooding or subsidence or liability for unsound building structures and repairs)
- You’re a team player. You’ll present yourself and Medway Law in the best way to our partner agents, their clients your team and everyone else involved in the transaction.
GOT SKILLS?
What are the top things you’ll bring to the role?
- Previous Conveyancing experience is desirable but not essential
- Some Legal work experience is desirable but not essential
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to complete assigned tasks effectively and promptly
- Ability to prioritise heavy workloads within tight time constraints
- Proactive and self motivated
