Full Time London, England 10.56 - 12.04 GBP Today
Job description

Who we are

CloudKitchens helps restaurateurs around the world succeed in online food delivery - our goal is to make food more affordable, higher quality and convenient for everyone.

We take underutilized properties and transform them into smart kitchens so they can better serve restaurateurs, customers and the neighborhoods they're in. Every time we launch a new facility we create jobs in that neighborhood, and we're proud to provide a wide range of cuisines and options for healthy food at an affordable price.

We're changing the game for restaurateurs whether they're entrepreneurs opening their first restaurant all the way through to your favorite global quick-service restaurant chains. Here is a peek into how it works.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute UK and EMEA CoSec work, including filing registrations and confirmation statements in the UK. Collaborate with local counsel to manage registrations, annual filings, KYC requirements, or similar tasks across EMEA.
  • Lead entity management by drafting basic corporate documentation for the formation and maintenance of domestic and international entities. Ensure entities are kept in good standing.
  • Maintain corporate governance and support by managing a signing authority matrix, corporate governance document database, entity org charts, and coordinating the execution of contracts and legalization of documents.
  • Own legal operations processes, including document routing from inception through execution and database storage.
  • Draft, review, negotiate and manage agreements, such as non-disclosure agreements, assignment/novation/amendments agreements, amendment to standard terms, and power of attorneys.
  • Liaise internally with other departments, the global legal team, and international launchers to provide necessary legal support.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel and other professional service providers, both domestically and internationally, as required.

What we're looking for

  • Academically, we are looking for someone with a law degree or other legal qualification. However, evidence and experience showing enthusiasm and a love of being compulsively organized is more vital.
  • Ideally, you have at least 2 years paralegal or company secretarial experience in private practice and/or a similar in-house role providing corporate governance and company secretarial support.
  • Previous exposure to drafting and reviewing basic corporate contracts, including power of attorneys, non-disclosure agreements and standard terms.
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and problem solve.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Must be confident, collaborative, and able to operate in a fast-growing global startup environment.
  • Quick learner and willing to assist in a variety of paralegal and legal operations tasks.

Why join us

  • Rapid growth: As a rapidly-growing startup, we offer exciting opportunities for career growth and advancement. Joining our EMEA legal team means being part of a dynamic and evolving organization that is expanding its presence in the region.
  • Varied and dynamic role: No two days are the same in our EMEA legal team. You'll be exposed to a wide range of legal matters and have the opportunity to work closely with the business both in the EMEA region and globally. This dynamic and fast-paced environment will keep you engaged and challenged, allowing you to continuously develop your skills and knowledge.
  • Professional development: We are committed to the professional development of our employees. Through training programs, workshops, and ongoing mentorship, we provide avenues for continuous learning and growth, helping you advance your career within our organization.
  • Collaborative environment: You will be joining a supportive and progressive EMEA legal team that values collaboration and professional development. Our team fosters a positive work culture where everyone's contributions are recognized and encouraged.

What else you need to know

This role is based in our London office location. We believe that people do their best work when they are together. As a company, we're in the marketplace of ideas and innovation. When you're constantly innovating, changing how an industry works, inventing new products and processes - and we are doing all these things - we believe we're better as a team in-person. That's why all of our teams are now working from one of our office locations 5 days a week. Looking forward to sharing more about a Career of Substance at CloudKitchens!

Ready to join us as we serve those who serve others?
