Job Opportunity
Bell Alliance LLP is looking for an experienced paralegal to join our estates team. This is a full-time position working in a team of busy and friendly professionals, including lawyers, paralegals, and legal assistants, with a wide range of estate planning, probate and estate administration files.

What you’ll be doing:
You will be assisting clients with executing their estate and personal planning during their lifetime, while also supporting personal representatives with grant applications and estate administration upon the passing of a relative or close friend. You will have autonomy and responsibility for your own files, while still working closely with a team.
More specifically:
- Client Interaction through consultation appointments with the lawyer, email and phone communication with clients, referrals partners and third party institutions;
- Drafting correspondence and legal documents with respect to wills, trusts, and personal planning;
- Self-Management of complex estate and personal planning files with minimal supervision; and
- General Legal Administration including gathering and inputting information, managing files from beginning to end, improving and implementing efficiencies.
If you’re the right candidate for this opportunity, you will have:
- Legal drafting experience and confidence in executing legal files
- Familiarity and understanding of trust accounting principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel and Outlook
- Experience with PC Law or similar accounting software
- Excellent communication, client service and writing skills
- Personable, attentive, calm and professional demeanor
- Capability to multi-task and prioritize workload efficiently and autonomously
- Critical thinking and solution-oriented
- Reliability, diligence and attention to detail
- Ability to interact with others and work in a team
