Job description
- Park Elementary School, within the Le Sueur-Henderson Public School District, is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional. This position will be working with special education students in a resource room setting and in general education classrooms.
- Anticipated Start Date: 2023-24 school year
- Assist teachers in the delivery of Special Education programming.
- 2 or 4 year degree, minimum high school diploma.
- Work effectively with students and staff; cooperative working style and good organizational skills.
- Assist case manager
- Perform any duties as prescribed in a student's Individual Educational Plan
- Support and monitor students' work (individually or in groups) in content areas
- Provide feedback to the case manager on student performance
- Attend meetings and/or training as requested
- Monitor children to support district-wide behavioral expectations
- Proctor assessments as requested
- Attend CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training and maintain CPI certification
- Maintain certifications as required
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the position
