Paid Social Manager

We’re looking for an ambitious and driven Paid Social Manager to join our fast-paced Marketing team, working across itison, our major events events portfolio and five of Glasgow’s best loved venues.
We’re looking for someone who is commercially driven and has a passion for data, analytics and problem solving to lead our paid social strategy & campaigns.
This role is based full time from our Glasgow HQ.
What you'll be doing
You will work as part of the marketing team, but day-to-day in a squad of two with additional support from the marketing assistant.
You will have overall responsibility for running campaigns and managing budgets.
- Developing & implementing highly targeted paid social campaigns and digital marketing strategies on multiple social platforms to drive traffic, conversions & revenue
- Developing robust ad campaign plans and strategies including defining the A/B testing process across creative, messaging and optimisation tactics for both prospecting and remarketing
- Analysing and reporting on key performance metrics to deliver actionable insights, using tools like Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Meta Business Suite and Business Manager.
- Managing campaign budgets with KPIs on customer (we call them members) and client (we call them hosts) acquisition as well as converting sales across our deals and events.
- Collaborating with creative teams to develop engaging and effective digital marketing assets
- Continuously innovating, iterating and improving campaigns and strategies alongside the wider marketing team
- Staying up to date with the latest digital trends and technologies and identifying opportunities to incorporate new tactics into the marketing mix
Key skills/experience:
- At least 3 years’ experience in digital marketing in either an agency or in-house setting
- Proven experience of running paid social media campaigns across all social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok & LinkedIn
- Commercially-aware with experience in managing budgets and delivering to challenging KPIs to make a demonstrable difference to growth
- Strategic thinker who can define and quickly execute intelligent tests that deliver actionable results
- Analytical and good with detail, but able to see the big picture and deliver strategies that make a significant difference
- Advance excel skills - able to analyse big sets of data and know the right questions to find the biggest opportunities (experience in SQL would be a bonus)
- Experience with Google Analytics, ideally GA4
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience of managing external agencies

- Creative and able to bring innovative ideas to everything you’re involved in
- Enjoy taking a test and learn approach and love agile ways of working and like to use data to tell a story about performance and understand how our customers engage with us
It would be beneficial, but not essential, to have experience of search engine optimisation and PPC.
A minimum of three years’ experience in digital marketing either in-house or agency is required for this role.
