Paid Media Manager

Contract: Permanent

Location: Remote with occasional visits to the head office in Bury St Edmunds.

Reports to: Digital Manager

Hours of work: Flexible – would consider full-time or part-time hours.

Purpose of the Role

Having outsourced our paid digital advertising for a number of years, Go Ape is looking for an experienced digital paid media manager to oversee all digital advertising in-house.

The Paid Media Manager will be responsible for day-to-day management of multiple digital paid media campaigns for Go Ape. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of running PPC and Paid social campaigns whether for a brand or agency.

They will work with the digital manager and social media manager to execute the campaigns across paid search, display, and social advertising. This includes keyword research and management, copywriting, analytics and tracking, campaign implementation, bid and budget management, landing page performance analysis, and campaign reporting.

They will understand the business needs and will think of new ways to help drive the business forward.

They will have the drive and inclination to remain at the forefront of digital marketing, ensuring best practice marketing techniques are at the heart of everything we do. This will naturally lead to improved paid media campaigns with maximised ROAS.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Work with the Digital Manager and Social Media Manager to plan, optimize, implement, and manage paid media campaigns in line with the overall digital strategy
  • Implement and optimise paid media advertising across multiple platforms including Google, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Perform keyword research and manage all bid management to ensure the budget is maximised effectively
  • Monitor, track, analyse and report on performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta Insights
  • Manage the paid media budget across all channels and recommend improvements to increase performance on a weekly basis.
  • Work with the wider digital marketing team to provide recommendations/requirements to ensure landing pages are effectively optimised to aid maximum ROAS and conversion
  • Manage the day-to-day handling of all paid media on established social media channels and adapt the content to suit these different channels and audiences.
  • Provide regular recommendations to ensure the programme is constantly evolving
  • Creating a programme to test new ideas
  • Building relationships with Meta/Google to ensure that we’re able to benefit from new functionality
  • Writing all copy for adverts in line with Go Ape’s tone of voice
  • Briefing and managing all creative requirements for the campaign

Skills and Experience Required

  • Previous experience of working within a similar paid media experience role
  • Proven track record in driving successful PPC and paid social campaigns
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook Business Manager, LinkedIn, Tiktok, Google Analytics and Hotjar
  • Excellent commercial awareness to drive businesses forwards
  • Superb reporting skills with a proactive approach
  • A commitment to learning, research and using initiative
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and deliver results
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Outstanding organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise
  • Work as a team player whilst being able to work on set individual performance goals and KPIs
