Job description
We are looking for a Packing Operative to join our team! Working across four brands the role will require you to pack multiple pieces of product using onsite equipment and tools to secure our products ready for dispatch to the highest quality in the best possible time.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure health and safety/environmental standards are always adhered to.
- To use PPE as required by the company and when signage always indicates so
- Share knowledge with other team members in Health & Safety standards and best practices if & when required.
- Ensure that your work area and equipment are kept clean and well-maintained.
- Agree and adhere to output packing targets with your supervisor.
- Share knowledge with other Team Members in the implementation of process improvements.
- Using equipment and tools pack our products to the agreed standards.
- Create custom packaging solutions for various new product lines.
- Take ownership of your work
- You will be comfortable working as part of a team but be able to work independently as well.
- Ensure that you recycle all waste in the correct waste streams.
Job Requirements:
- Experience working in a factory environment
- Experience in using tools and equipment safely.
- Independent problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, with awareness of deadlines.
- Can work under and without supervision.
Benefits:
- 40-hour contract
- £10.00p/h probationary rate - £10.66p/h thereafter + Overtime at @1.5%
