Kennel Assistant Needed!
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kennel Assistant to join our team at our busy boarding kennels and cattery. As a Kennel Assistant, you will be responsible for the care of the dogs and cats who are boarding with us ensuring they receive the best possible care and attention while they are with us.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain kennels
- Dog walking
- Monitor animal behavior and report any changes to the supervisor
- Prepare and serve food following specific dietary requirements and instructions
- Bath and groom dogs
- Provide basic medical treatment such as administering medication
- Deal with customer enquires
- Check dogs and cats in and out
Requirements:
- Prior experience working in a similar animal-care profession would be an advantage but training can be provided for the right person
- Must be comfortable working with both cats and dogs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with volunteers, customers and other staff members
- Have a strong work ethic and can-do attitude
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple responsibilities
- A driving licence would be an advantage
Full and part time position available - temporary but may become permanent for the right person. Rate of pay is dependent on experience.
