ABP Food Group is a food business that specialises in the supply and development, producing award-winning British and Irish beef and lamb products for retail, foodservice and wholesale. ABP Langport is part of the ABP UK division within the ABP Food Group aiming to provide quality beef to thousands of customers across the world.
Here at ABP Langport, located in Southwest Somerset (TA10 9HG), we are currently recruiting for the ideal candidate to join our Packing Team as a Packing Operative.

Role definition:

• Working in a busy, fast paced food processing business, the main purpose of the packing operative role is to bag and box meat products ready to be dispatched out to our customers. There's plenty of variety in the role and progression opportunities into areas such as Quality Control, Butchery and Supervisory roles.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• To ensure products are packaged to ABP customer specification
• To ensure work is carried out to the best of your ability to meet production deadlines
• To seek training to maintain skills and progress within the business
• To work as part of a team whilst complying with food hygiene training at all times

Knowledge and Experience:
Essential

• Strong attention to detail
• Great team ethic and a flexible approach to work
• The ability to work in this physically demanding role

Desirable

• Previous factory experience

Schedule:
Day Shift
Monday to Friday
6am to Finish (this is not a set finish time, however production usually finishes between 4pm/4:30pm)

Reporting to: Boning Hall Production Manager
Rate: Piece Rate (Further explained during the interviewing process)
