Job description
My client is a leader in developing mechanical systems for a variety of industries. They have a vacancy for an engineer to be responsible for all aspects of constructional packaging for a specific product range, including primary, fitments and transit packaging. To provide prototype samples of primary cartons and fitments, including vacuum thermoforming, board, and pulpboard. Must possess degree or diploma in pack design or technology. Firm grasp of thermoformed plastics, plastics, paper and board. 2D CAD design · Excellent interpersonal skills. Good ability to communicate at all levels, both verbal and written. · Good commercial awareness. ·PC skills: working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word & Excel (basic/intermediate level). ·Pay attention to detail and possess a high degree of accuracy. ·Flexible and adaptable to changes in workload and priorities. ·Ability to multi-task.· Comfortable working under pressure and meeting strict deadlines.·Capable of operating pro-actively within a team.· Awareness of European legislation on packaging and packaging waste. Desirable: Knowledge of 3D CAD.· Previous experience of working within an FMCG environment.
