IT Risk Analyst – London – Perm

The role provides direct support to the Head of IT Risk and Assurance and is responsible for supporting risk reporting requirements and quality assurance reviews for the second line risk team.
The role will work in 2nd line Risk and Compliance and will be responsible for supporting as required the development, maintenance and application of the IT internal risk and control environment through adherence to the company’s strategy, policies, standards and procedures, ensuring the monitoring and adherence to both internal and external compliance on behalf of the entities we support. The role will work in partnership with the 1st line Risk and Controls team to ensure consistency of practice across the group.

IT Risk Analyst – London – Perm
There are 3 core components to this role:
The priority of this role is to embed 2nd second line oversight and assurance within IT and support reporting and being the day to day first point of contact for all IT General Control (ITGC) queries and support. At least 4 years in a similar senior position, ideally in a client-facing commercial organisation.
Assurance and Quality Control activity and Oversight:
- Support quarterly control effectiveness attestations and reporting.
- Support and deliver the ongoing review of JSOx controls and escalation of any concerns.
- Support the 2nd line Quality Assurance reviews of IT general controls (ITGC).
- Support and deliver assurance as per the annual assurance plan within ABS.
- Support the completion of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).
- Track updates for actions and chase as required to ensure due dates are met.
- Produce a monthly control report for all categories of controls in IT that can be used internally or shared with legal entities as required.
- Support the Head of IT Risk and Assurance / 1st line IT Risk and Control team with production of monthly or quarterly risk reporting, lead on the collection and collating of data and the reporting on Key Risk Indicators and Risk Appetite statements as required.
In liaison with the 1st line Risk and Control team, the tracking of open assurance actions and risk events to closure and the escalation of overdue actions.
Support IT control owners and operators in the use of the GRC tool.
Support the 1st line Risk and Control team with root cause analysis of any operational risk errors, identify control failings, and agree suitable mitigation to reduce the likelihood of future reoccurrence, losses or business disruption.
Promote a positive, continuous risk and control culture across ABS IT
