Role: Counter Assistant (Butchery)
Location: Over Farm Market
Responsible for: Daily tasks and customers in the farm shop
Reportable to: Shop Duty Manager

Job Purpose and Scope:
The role involves delivering an excellent social experience to our customers whilst working with our highly skilled Butchers to ensure the Butchery are able to showcase our produce.
The role will include;
- Assisting with the preparation of meat products
- Operating relevant machinery safely
- Keeping the Butchery and it's equipment in a clean state, reporting any faults or dangers quickly to the appropriate manager
- Serving customers
- Assisting in areas across the Butchery as and when required
- Replenishing shelves in our Farm Shop.

- Follow systems and processes in order to maintain exceptionally high quality standards
- Have maximum fun whilst offering our customers the best experience.
Person Specification:
Essential
- Possess a very good working knowledge of food hygiene (training can be provided)
- Previous experience of working in a customer facing role within the last year
- Possess a Food hygiene qualification
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Desirable
- Be a 'foodie' who can share their love and passion for food with others
- Possess a good understanding and seasonality of food
- Experience working in one of the large supermarkets
- Proficient with IT and computers
