We are looking for a full time receptionist . We are looking for enthusiastic and well-motivated staff member who would like the opportunity to work in a fast paced positive developing environment. The applicants should have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner and good customer care skills. The post holders should also be able to prioritise and work well as members of a team, use their own initiative, maintaining accuracy with both verbal and written communication. Main duties of the job In addition to the below summary you need to familiarize yourself with full Job Description and Person Specification documents attached to this advert The role entails managing reception, welcoming patients and ensuring that all relevant administrative tasks are completed to provide the expected high standard of care for patients in hospital. For this exciting and challenging role candidates need to be keen to develop their administrative and clerical skills and be a team player. Receptionist skills, experience in the NHS, knowledge of the hospital and use of NUH computer systems such as MEDWAY PAS and NOTIS would be a distinct advantage. Detailed job description and main responsibilities The successful candidates need to be computer literate, experienced in the use of electronic communications and be confident during face to face interactions with patients and visitors. They will be a focal point of contact to the department and will also act as an information resource for staff and visitors. Knowledge of hospital systems i.e. Medway, PAS and DHR is desirable, however training can be provided. Desirable criteria The ability to pass on information accurately to registered staff. Experience Essential criteria Experience of reception work. Admin experiance Desirable criteria Experience of working in a busy, challenging and every changing environment. knowledge of hospital IT systems, e.g. Medway PAS, Notis. communication & relationship Essential criteria Good communication skills with both adults and children. Excellent telephone manner. Good understanding of confidentiality. Desirable criteria to have experience of working in a team.
