Job Role: Outdoor Learning Business Manager, North Yorkshire Outdoor Learning service
Grade: N
Salary: From £48,474 - £52,504 per annum pro rata
Contract: Established
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Based at Bewerley Park Outdoor Centre with an expectation to visit East Barnby Outdoor Centre.

North Yorkshire Outdoor Learning service has over 80 years’ experience of delivering high quality outdoor learning. A service consisting of two large residential outdoor centres and an experienced and skilled Educational Visits team, who work collaboratively to create opportunities for thousands of young people to learn in the great outdoors. Our vision is to enable young people to achieve their potential by creating residential and day experiences that enable participants to develop their social skills, personal growth and environmental awareness.
The opportunity has arisen to appoint a Business Manager, who will assist the Head of Outdoor Learning in the strategic planning and operation of the service. North Yorkshire Outdoor Learning service has an ambitious development plan. The service operates within a commercially minded approach and aims to provide high quality outdoor learning and recreational facilities to the residents of North Yorkshire and further afield.
The Business Manager will be responsible for providing comprehensive management and support to the Head of Outdoor Learning for the effective development and control of the service’s financial growth, income generation and contract coordination. They will work closely with the Head of service and other managers to develop, promote and implement business improvements across the service.
