Job description

Virtual Admin UK are looking for an experienced Orthopaedic Audio Typist to join our medico-legal transcription team with the following requirements:

  • MUST HAVE experience in medico-legal audio typing/transcription and at least 3 years experience in Orthopaedic typing.
  • Your own dictation software and pedal i.e. express scribe (can be downloaded for free) / Olympus.
  • Have experience working in templates (Microsoft word). Be able to insert diagrams, use the paintbrush in word and familiar with formatting documents.
  • Essential qualities of integrity and initiative when dealing with confidential matters.
  • UK Based.
  • Rate is £12 per report and not per hour. This will be increased to £15 once you are fully independent. Reports can take 45 mins to an hour to type.
  • Be available to work a few hours a day between the hours of 9am to 5pm - Monday to Friday.

Key Skill:

  • Ability to time manage.
  • Use your initiative.
  • Familiar with MS word, working in templates and Cliniko.
  • Proofreading and excellent language skills.
  • Must have adequate password protected PC.
  • Must be ICO registered which we will pay for should training be successful.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • This is not a straight forward audio typing position. You will be required to think outside the box. Find information to put in the report and correct any discrepancies.

  • One week trial basis applies.
  • Payment is £12 per report and not per hour. Reports can take from half an hour to an hour and a half.

  • This is NOT a full time position and would be suited to someone who is looking for a couple of hours work a day only.
