As an Orthopaedic Instruments Sales Representative, you will represent Stryker as a leader in our industry by assisting with the selling, promoting, and marketing of our products to a sophisticated audience comprised of surgeons, hospital management and healthcare professionals. You will take an active part in customer education in the field, drive new product launches and maximising existing sales opportunities within your territory of South Wales.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain outstanding relationships with Stryker’s new and existing customers and drives recurrent sales cycles and continuous growth for our Orthopedic Instruments products.
  • Cultivate new sales opportunities alongside the Regional Sales Manager and effectively manages lead generation.
  • Deliver customer satisfaction by demonstrating teamwork and empowerment, solving problems through a consultative approach, operating with honesty and integrity and providing a highly responsive and unsurpassed level of customer service.
  • Train physicians and theatre staff on the use of our Orthopedic Instruments
  • Provide consistent and timely reporting of key account activities, forecasts, and other ad-hoc reports
  • Plan and execute a quarterly and annual business sales plan, by managing existing revenue streams and customers, and driving acquisition across the territory generating growth
  • Maintain and replenish stock within your territory
  • Working alongside the Regional Sales Manager and Product Manager to execute contracts and competitive pricing agreements

What you need

  • Ideally, a BA or BSc degree in a Biomedical/Lifesciences or business-based subject (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience selling Surgical or Medical Devices is desirable
  • Proven ability to deliver against financial sales targets
  • A valid drivers’ license
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and develop and maintain relationships with senior executives and healthcare professionals including surgeons
  • Must be comfortable in emergency/operating room environments
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce
