We have an exciting opportunity for an Order Controller to join our Installations, Nacelles and Controls team in Derby.
In this role, you will plan and control schedules for our external global supply chain and be responsible for driving adherence to the agreed plan ensuring on-time delivery to our Manufacturing, Engine Assembly or Services aftermarket facilities. You will play a pivotal role in developing relationships with external suppliers and actively identify and resolve with pace potential risks that could impact delivery and inventory performance. You will be the first point of contact with regards to delivery for the external supply chain and internal stakeholders.
Our Planning & Control Team in Installations, Nacelles and Controls (INC) ensure that across our manufacturing facilities and extensive global supply chain we have an optimised production plan and capacity to support our engine and aftermarket deliveries.

What you will be doing:
You will be ensuring that Suppliers manufacture and deliver products in line with the agreed plan to achieve required performance levels and customer commitments.
- Reviewing delivery commitments shared by the suppliers through standard tools and processes.
- Reporting and ensuring that all planning systems are accurately maintained.
- Actively identifying risk and where performance diverges from the plan, driving urgent resolution of issues whilst ensuring root causes are understood and addressed.
- Resolving any logistics issues in co-operation with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensuring demand changes are understood and working with suppliers to realign to any changes necessary to support customer requirements.
- Being responsible for all Rolls-Royce inventory management across the product portfolio, driving inventory improvement.
- Leading structured reviews with suppliers ensuring load and capacity, material supply, resources, rate, product modifications and product introduction milestones are understood and executed in line with business needs.

- Experience of working in a similar industry manufacturing environment in supply chain management, purchasing or logistics field.
- APICS, CIPS or equivalent qualifications - desirable.
- Experience of SAP or equivalent ERP/MRP system and being highly comfortable with data analysis with an aptitude to develop further.
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to influence and work successfully with cross-functional teams in a rapidly changing environment.
- Someone who is comfortable working alone with the detail but also works well as part of a team to improve overall business performance.
- Skilled in problem-solving techniques with ability to interpret data and trends and comfortable to pull the right team together to find a solution.
