POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Head of Operations this role is responsible for day-to-day management of activity at the Tamworth office to include reactive escalations from projects in flight and warehouse prep, picking and packing.
Candidates should have a strong background in management, logistics, project management and budget control.
This role requires oversight of a range of areas and the most suitable candidates will be strong leaders who are quick to grasp new briefs and resolve issues for some of the largest and most well known brands who trust PMY with their technology strategy and delivery.
Candidates do not require a background in technology, but should understand the broad aspects, be highly effective communicators, able to multitask and understand customer briefs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management of day-to-day operational activity at the Tamworth warehouse
- Ownership of reactive operational elements including projects in progress
- Oversight of resourcing, project progress, budgets, procurement and logistics
- Resolution of escalations from deployment teams
- Constant focus on improvement and optimisation
- Strong leadership to ensure warehouse operations are effective and meet deadlines
- Clear direction and communication to site and project teams
SKILLS & EXPERTISE REQUIREMENTS
- Experienced manager with 5+ years’ experience in operations and logistics
- Experience with the events sector
- An interest in technology and ability to grasp the broad concepts
- Strong communicator – comfortable using data to diagnose challenges, identify opportunities, and drive solutions through emails, calls, and in-person meetings (in the future)
- Active listener and collaborator - listens actively and asks questions to fully understand what matters most to others. values the input and insights of others.
- Able to manage well with ambiguity - strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to thrive under pressure
- Ability to efficiently prioritize a large number of competing requests
