Are you an experienced Business Manager with an Operations environment looking for an exciting new challenge? We are currently seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join our team and lead the development and delivery of our Operations Planning projects and programmes. You will play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence by continuously improving department processes and implementing the Operations Planning Business Plan. As a key member of our team, you will also be responsible for managing the departmental people agenda, including recruitment, industrial relations coordination, and talent pipeline development. The ideal candidate should have strong project management, programme delivery, and budgetary performance tracking skills, along with experience in managing compliance and succession planning. Operations Planning Business Manager
The Operations Planning Business Manager is a critical role overseeing projects and programmes related to Operations Planning, and continuously improving department processes to deliver operational excellence. The role involves programme co-ordination, implementing and tracking the Operations Planning Business Plan, and managing the departmental people agenda e.g., industrial relations co-ordination, recruitment, and graduate schemes. To succeed in this role, the candidate should have strong project management, programme delivery, and budgetary performance tracking skills. Additionally, they should be able to coordinate with various departments, manage compliance, and have experience in talent pipeline development and succession planning. Effective communication skills are also essential, as the role involves liaising with various stakeholders and managing departmental communications.
Qualifications / Experience
The ideal candidate for this job should have excellent knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Teams, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to write for a variety of media, purposes, and audiences. They should be forward-looking and able to produce innovative ideas, prioritise activity through strong planning and organisational skills, and demonstrate excellent resilience and the ability to cope well with pressure. The candidate should also possess strong influencing skills across the organisation and with a range of stakeholders and service partners, deliver work to agreed deadlines without compromising quality, and be able to manage ambiguity and uncertainty with confidence. Additionally, small scale project management experience and the ability to work collaboratively with department and colleague representatives to deliver local and departmental change programs are also desired. The ideal candidate must be able to hold an airside pass and have an understanding of working in a 24/7 operational environment.
