Shift pattern: Mon - Fri (37.5 hrs a week)

Salary : £55,000 and Company Car
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
We're currently recruiting for a Work Shop Operational Manager to join our expanding team within our Inside Track contract for VWG Cars. As an experienced Operational Manager , you will be responsible for providing leadership and engagement to the technical, bodyshop, parts, and inspection teams via performance dialogues and regular communications.
WHAT WE NEED FROM AN OPERATIONAL MANAGER ;
- Previous experience in an operational role with excellent people management skills
- Managing supplier negotiations and operational performance
- Commercial awareness from within the automotive industry
- A strong knowledge of vehicle industry in general would be preferred
MAIN DUTIES WOULD INCLUDE:
- Ensure the efficient and cost effective management of the departments delivering monthly targets in line with forecasted volumes.
- To monitor KPI performance, and ensure that the correct repair processes are in place and staff are properly trained and equipped in order to meet the client production and quality standards as laid down in the service level agreements.
- To evaluate the financial and productive performance and recommend improvements as appropriate.
- Ensure all procedures and processes are adhered to and that all apects of welfare, equipment maintenance and H&S are kept current and up to date
- To make sure the sites logistics team service the workshop with vehicles on time to maximaise reveune and productivity
- Provide performance management to team to ensure roles and responsibilities are being met.
- To also support with commercial deals to support new business
- Work with finance to complete investment models to ensure that new business is in line with the operational capability.
- Acting as a mentor and guide to other to provide technical advice where needed
