How you’ll change it up

As a Lead Development Tester, you’ll help us to maintain QA practises which will drive the quality of inhouse developed applications, along with commercial package configurations. You’ll use your technical knowledge and experience to produce clear, consistent, function test suites and scripts, ensuring that quality is validated for every change to code. A part of your focus in this role will also be to mentor other members of the team on technical issues and solutions, so we can deliver highly scalable and robust systems. Day to day, this is what you can expect to be doing:

• Writing test scripts / feature files using BDD formats
• Defect creation and management through the Kanban lifecycle
• Supporting in squad meetings for refinements, retrospectives and demos
• Supporting the Product Owner and Business Analyst to understand requirements
• Working alongside other QA’s to support with technical leadership and guidance

What you’ll bring to the role

You’ll already have some leadership experience in a technical environment, as well as full knowledge and experience with automation testing. You’ll also bring the following:

• PHP and Python
• Linux / Unix
• Experience testing APIs
• SQL and database architecture (including querying and creating test data)
• Testing experience for multi-tier application architecture, regression, GUI, system, black box, performance and end-to-end testing
• Excellent knowledge of source control systems such as Git
