ABOUT THE ROLE
Red Carpet Ready are the UK’s Largest Dress Specialists, just listed as the UK’s 39th fastest growing female-led company. We are a seasonal business which is growing at a rapid rate which means higher demands during a concentrated period of the year.
This is an exciting, varied & demanding Senior Manager role, reporting into the CEO. This crucial position oversees, coordinates & manages every stage from customer order placement, through to our factories/suppliers, through to the customer receiving the product. Whilst you are not initially managing direct reports, you are coordinating & chasing our suppliers, meeting order fulfilment deadlines & managing your own varied workload. You do not need experience of staff management or in an identical role, but you must be able to demonstrate the required skills through our recruitment process.
You will be a career-orientated & hands-on individual who is extremely capable, thrives under pressure & ‘makes things happen’ as the right hand to our CEO. You will be at the heart of decision making within the company, shaping future business development & making an impact at a core level – ultimately, this role will grow alongside the company. Being dynamic is key.
You will have a natural ability to use software packages, especially Excel, pull & present data, validating it & making recommendations on the back of your analysis.
Excellent problem-solving abilities are essential, & you will have direct responsibility for several specific areas of the company, but you will be able to turn you hand at almost anything needed to deliver the company’s objectives & vision. Therefore, you must be able to multitask & adapt quickly. You will also be involved in coordinating & delivering key deadlines & business development projects across the company.
Each year, you will also head up the coordination of our new RCR Exclusives dress designs, working with the creative team to implement ideas & roll them out through our factories & suppliers. You don’t need any experience around fashion & design, but you do need excellent attention to detail & drive.
As the UK’s Largest Dress Specialists, you will be responsible for meeting the deadlines of 1000s of customer orders. You must be deadline-driven, capable of problem solving, driving results, & ensuring everything is delivered on time and accurately.
During our peak season, from September to May, your main focus will be on customer order placement, fulfilment, & liaison with factories & suppliers. Outside of our peak season, you will be heavily involved in projects, business development & peak season planning.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations
- Account managing our factories & suppliers.
- Analyse & produce reports as well as putting forward recommendations to the CEO on what to produce & buy.
- Track & chase all goods across all couriers from origin to delivery.
- You will be responsible for overseeing the order fulfilment process from our retail team to factories, factories to customers at all times & be aware of exactly what is happening & any time throughout.
- Be responsible for liaising with suppliers on quality issues, customer returns & KPI performance.
- You will have the ability to produce reports, analyse data & with the CEO’s input, suggest proposals to ensure our best-selling products are always in stock based on trend analysis.
RCR Exclusives Dress Label
- You will be part of the RCR Exclusives Team, heading up the overall coordination & communication into our factories, ensuring the Collection is delivered to specifications & on time.
- Fashion experience is not required – you need a high level of attention to detail, data literacy & excellence coordination skills.
Day To Day
- Channel customer orders onto the necessary systems, ensuring order accuracy.
- Facilitating customer & supplier orders placed & ensuring on time delivery.
- You will manage & track the order bank by various spreadsheet systems, online inventories & various technology systems.
- Proactively updating our retail team on goods in.
- Update multiple spreadsheets & documents daily with attention to detail.
- Reconciling invoices to agreements, & reconciling invoices to ensure discounts issued.
- As part of coordinating our exclusive dress collection each year, you will assist the CEO on keeping all spend within budget & provide regular updates to the management team.
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate and streamline processes, including actively identifying cost reduction opportunities.
- Continually review & improve company processes across your areas & across the company.
Business Development/Strategy/Project Management (outside of peak season, from June – August)
- You will be part of the strategic team, first in identifying & researching business development opportunities & then taking ownership to project manage these.
- You will be involved with reviewing current processes/operations and put forward proposals for change, cost savings & efficiencies from despatch through to delivery – Customer & Supplier. (e.g. Shipping Agents/Courier network).
Other
- HR coordination.
- Retail operations including staff planning.
REQUIREMENTS
- This role is not for the faint-hearted – resilience to pressure is essential. You need to be able to manage multiple workload streams simultaneously & manage a pressurised workload during peak season.
- Whilst you do not need direct staff management experience, you will be managing external suppliers & will be accountable for customer order fulfilment, so you must be able to demonstrate the required skills to do this.
- You will thrive on a high level of autonomy, responsibility & ownership.
- Troubleshooting mindset – can work through problems & processes logically to unpick issues & solve them.
- Advanced Excel skills – strong ability to analyse & interpret data to make informed decisions & have the ability to put forward recommendations from this to the CEO.
- Must be an excellent communicator.
- Fully IT literate with Microsoft Office.
- Highly organised, solution orientated, have attention to detail & be a team player with the ability to be motivated to work alone when required.
- You will thrive on the pressure of peak season & will love the ownership & accountability of overseeing customer order fulfilment from start to finish.
- Hands-on mentality, an analytical and structured way of working and logical thinking skills, all while also having the curiosity and creativity to investigate or challenge unknown areas.
- Desire to work in a fast paced, dynamic & entrepreneurial business to add to our infrastructure & deliver the company into its next phase of expansion.

WHAT ARE THE HOURS?
- Full-Time – 40 hours per week, normally covering 5 days Monday to Friday.
- For the right individual, these days can be changed – we are flexible
- Based at Red Carpet Ready near Lincoln.
- The option of Hybrid working up to 2 days per week can be explored.
PAY PACKAGE
- Pay: up to £40-45k (inclusive of performance related & company performance Bonus)
- Hours: 40 hours per week
