Waste Operations Manager
Salary: £45,000 per annum plus an annual performance bonus, company car and pension
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week
Location: Southwark, SE15 1AL

What you'll be doing as the Operations Supervisor;
The Operations Manager will report directly to the Business Manager and be responsible for delivering strong operational and financial performance whilst maintaining high levels of customer service and team engagement. Responsible for day-to-day management of operatives, staff and site based support to ensure site capability and capacity is maximised.
- Ensure optimum service delivery and the effective and safe organisation of work processes whilst delivering maximum operational efficiency.
- Accountable for people management and ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and company quality, and health & safety obligations.
- Act as TM1 and be responsible for implementing and maintaining compliance of all company policies and procedures including fleet compliance and any changes to regulatory standards and legislation within the TM1/TM2 role capacity.
- Responsible for contribution to achieving the targeted level of operational profitability whilst delivering exceptional customer service.
- Management of new and existing customer relationships including involvement in business growth and creating a pipeline for new business opportunities.
- Utilise data to improve operational performance, whilst driving efficiencies to maximise profit.
- Creating a customer excellence approach & culture, delivering a first time collection culture.
What we're looking for;
- CPC holder; TM1 or TM2 - Essential.
- Experience of managing transport/fleet compliance.
- An experienced and inspirational people manager.
- Good communication skills communicating with people of all levels.
- Ability to organise resources and manage labour to meet operational demands.
- Experienced IT Skills, Google or MS Office 2000 and the ability to adapt to Google.
- Previous experience of operating in a commercial business environment and an understanding of other operational processes.
