Job description
We have an exciting opportunity to work as an Apprenticeships Operations Manager within the Health Sciences School. The Health Sciences School forms a key part of the University of Sheffield’s apprenticeships offer, with around 350 apprentices completing programmes from Level 5 to 7, with an ambition for managed growth where programmes align with our wider educational ambitions.
The University’s Health Sciences School provides regional and national leadership in health professions education, training and research. The School brings together expertise from across three core areas of strength: human communication sciences; nursing and midwifery; and orthoptics. Apprenticeships provision is currently focused on nursing and advanced clinical practice, but with a new Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) Degree Apprenticeship also in development.
As Apprenticeships Operations Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the operational management of the apprenticeships portfolio and ensuring the highest quality of experience for our apprentices and employers. You will take the lead on ensuring institutional processes are fully embedded and that the School is fully compliant with ESFA, Ofsted and other regulatory requirements.
Working across the Health Sciences School, you will work closely with the academic Director of Apprenticeships, Director of Education, School Manager and other members of the School’s Executive Team to support highly effective operational management of the apprenticeships portfolio. You will also work in close collaboration with colleagues who support education at faculty level, and with colleagues in the newly formed Apprenticeships Hub within APSE.
We are committed to enabling our employees to work in a hybrid model with flexibility over when, where and how to achieve the required outputs, in discussion with your manager.
