NCSC is offering you an exciting opportunity, working in Delivery Management Support across a diverse range of NCSC teams.

Our Delivery Management Support roles help NCSC to realise the benefits of the services we own and manage as a team. Key aspects of your role will include working closely with first-line support functions and development teams. You’ll facilitate service requests, resolve customer issues, ensure knowledge base articles are fit for purpose, and support the release of new features. You’ll help to manage processes that are cross cutting, including the portfolio of datasets to ensure the most effective and efficient means of supporting the Data Acquisition and Sharing strategy. You’ll take forward dedicated tasks on behalf of individual Service Owners to help them enhance their service.

Job description

As Delivery Management Support, you’ll:

  • Work at the heart of a team to provide direction, you'll support the team resolving issues effectively in an ever-evolving environment to deliver products and services in an iterative way.
  • Be accountable for delivery, motivating and supporting teams, and removing blockers.
  • Be part of a community which has a deep understanding of agile and lean practices and will support you to use your own judgement to decide on appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Be adept at delivering complex digital projects, breaking down barriers for teams and planning - both at a higher level and getting into the detail when needed.
  • Be at the core of the decisions made by the team, you’ll support the team to engage, coordinate, and cooperate creating an environment where the team are excited about their work.
  • Join a well-motivated, dynamic multi-disciplined delivery team working to deliver on our commitments and roadmap.

You’ll need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Agile and Lean practices - Demonstrate experience in applying Agile tools and principles. (Skill level: working).
  • Commercial management - Act as the point of contact for contracted suppliers. Understand and use appropriate internal contacts and processes within a government department. (Skill level: working)

You’ll receive a starting salary of £32,092, for roles based in London, you’ll receive an additional £6,250 London allowance.

Before You Apply

To work at GCHQ, you need to be a British citizen or hold dual British nationality. You can read our full eligibility criteria here.

This role requires the highest security clearance, known as Developed Vetting (DV). It’s something everyone in the UK Intelligence Community undertakes. You can find out more about the vetting process here.

Please note we have a strict drugs policy, so once you start your application, you can’t take any recreational drugs and you’ll need to declare your previous drug usage at the relevant stage.

The role is based in Cheltenham, Central London, or Central Manchester so you’ll need to live within a commutable distance. Please consider any financial implications and practicalities before submitting an application, as we do not offer relocation costs.
