This position requires an individual with an open and approachable demeanor who can execute discretion when required. They also must have proven project management skills, excellent communication, multi-tasking and time management skills, and the ability to lead a team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:- Creating and executing internal and external recruitment sourcing strategies, diversity plans as well as specific strategy development for direct networking, vendor relationships, career fairs participation, recruitment advertising, and internet recruitment. Work with the HR Administrator and the Market and Department Head Managers to understand labor needs.
- Work with various employment agencies to explore opportunities for subsidy programs. Manage and track subsidies.
- Apply for grant funding to support management training and development
- Continue the development and maintenance of the Occupational Health and Safety Program.
- Facilitate Team Member Orientation Program – Company Policies, Food Safety and Occupational Health and Safety.
- Policy and Team Member Handbook maintenance and development.
- Workers’ compensation claims management and return to work planning.
- Team Member event development and planning.
- Assist with Manager development, leadership training sessions and performance reviews.
- Deal with general Team Member inquiries, concerns, grievances.
- Develop and manage various Human Resource related projects.
- Work with the Senior Management team on various Sunterra Market related initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Proven supervisory or management expertise (a minimum of 3 years)
- Proven ability to manage effectively in an occasionally high-pressure leadership role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Business management skills and time management skills.
- Post-Secondary or College degree in business administration or a closely related field may substitute for a portion of the required experience.
- CPHR Canada accreditation an asset.
- High School or GED required.
