About the role

Asda is redeveloping itself since its separation from Walmart, which is resulting in implementation of state of the art warehouse management systems and new reporting software. This role will be focused on rebuilding all reporting and dashboards in the new IBM and Microsoft software to provide analytics and insight into the logistic network.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and implement reports and dashboard
• Support business reporting of all key metrics across the Asda Logistic Services (ALS) operations
• Become proficient on Microsoft Azure software via on job learning to help Asda migrate reporting onto new software.
• Use the insight and analytics to identify areas of opportunity within our solution to improve KPIs, efficiency, the Customer experience and support continued growth
• Support presentation and communication to managers of data analytics
• Engage with key stakeholders across all teams to ensure our reporting is ‘fit for purpose' and review accordingly
• Provide coaching, training and support where needed to users of reports and dashboards
• Implementation of new reports, including developing cascade materials, communications and review
• Work alongside other members of data team to improve processes, share knowledge
• System administration
• Continuous review of existing reporting and implementation of process improvements where possible.

Essential skills and experience

• Develop Reports in IBM Cognos and Power BI or similar software
• Be technically proficient in writing SQL
• High skill level of Alteryx or Data factory
• High skill level of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to analyse complex data and to convert it into user friendly information
• Self-motivated, drive to identify root cause and identify solutions
• Ability to plan and organise own and team workloads
• Forward thinking with the ability to make recommendations
