Operations Manager
Benson, South Oxfordshire
Salary: Circa: £52,000 plus a Car Allowance
We are currently working alongside a leading Facilities Management organisation to recruit an experienced Operations Manager to work on their MODcontract based in South Oxfordshire. The Operations Manager has responsibility for the delivery of M&E/Fabric and Hard services works including planned, re-active and small quoted works within the sites.
Responsibilities:
- Providing day to day cover to the site team and to act as a focal point for team.
- Responsible for site compliance and assurance, safety alert actions, ensure stat compliance of estate with site team.
- Close Call/ Waste champion – reviewing, action and closing down any site-based issues that have been raised and coordinating the site team with primary support on waste disposal.
- Temporary Works Coordinator – responsible for all temporary works that is undertaken on site.
- Oversee prep and delivery of project plans.
- Health and Safety Lead for site – including attendance at SAG meetings.
- Site inspections and floor walks.
Experience:
- Good communicator and able to take responsibility and deliver structured responses, reports, and updates in weekly meetings
- Proven track record of managing people in challenging circumstances
- Good people motivator and mentor
- Able to understand and manage H&S, assurance and compliance for the site – utilising team for delivery
- Understanding of project works
- Technical background advantageous, not essential- Mechanical engineering/ Electrical engineering type background.
- Strong Facilities Management experience required, nature of FM – not essential to have experience within MOD, but again advantageous. Facilities Management in large scale environments, retail would be considered with experience of reactive and planned maintenance. Hospital/ Healthcare, MOJ.
- Experience managing and driving KPI’s and operational dashboards.
- Experience of managing client and customer expectations and exemplary communications skills with internal employees, both up and down the chain, and external customer and client.
- Experience of managing both staff and contractors, is essential in this role.
