Project Support Officer Location: Working from home / Manchester Office
Salary: Up to £28,900 35 hours, full time

Role Overview: Are you interested in furthering your project knowledge and supporting & inputting into multiple projects? Due to growth and investment our PMO team within the business banking area of the bank are looking for a Project Support Officer. We are looking for strong communicators that can engage with our stakeholders, you will need an understanding and some experience or exposure to supporting project work.
You’ll have excellent communication and organisational skills, performing a supporting role working with the PMO Analysts, Delivery Leads, Scrum Masters and wider delivery teams to manage, deliver and control change programmes and projects in line with the Banks Change framework.
You’ll have a passion for achieving team goals as well as personal growth, with drive to progress in change delivery. You’ll directly contribute to ongoing portfolio delivery, contributing to adherence of key metrics relating to time, budget and scope, meeting the needs of the organisation.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support the Portfolio's administrative function
- Scheduling meetings and facilitation through agenda management, action tracking and creation of materials for the portfolio/project teams
- Production of key meeting outputs and support of documentation approvals
- Providing secretariat support to key project working groups as needed and attending other project team meetings as required
- Liaison with all the different project functions, disciplines and project roles to drive task and action execution
- Assist with, or manage and engage with portfolio / project stakeholders, maintaining the stakeholder logs, building and managing professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, at times acting as a single point of contact, drafting correspondence
- Support the portfolio leads and senior leadership in running of the portfolio and projects to undertake specific logistical tasks
- Support dependency management activity to capture critical portfolio dependencies and track to completion
- Collecting data & forecasts and assisting with the compilation of reports
- Support the Portfolio team's contribution to ad hoc requests
- Support collation of action updates across the portfolio
- Provide flexible, hands-on delivery support and assisting with effective communication between project management and business teams
- Maintain a good understanding of risk and control requirements relevant to the role, ensuring compliance and that due regard is paid to the interests of customers and that they are treated fairly, including managing risks and issues as they arise, collaborating with senior business or technical roles as required to resolve them
Knowledge, skills & experience required:
- Experience supporting the delivery of projects
- Experience of working independently;
- Strong organisational, problem solving and communication skills
- Must understand personal and team roles, contributing to a positive working environment, and proactively seek and provide guidance, clarification, and feedback.
- Strong in communicating in an organized and knowledgeable manner in written and verbal formats
- Understanding of programme management offices and their services, (e.g. risk management, reporting and change control) is desirable
- Experience of working in fast-paced environments in a supporting function
- Awareness of project methodologies
- Experience of working with 3rd party suppliers
- Communicates effectively at senior levels, in a style appropriate to audience.
- Strong customer focus and ability to promote this same focus and culture across the wider team
