Operations Manager – Staveley
Up to £65,000 (Basic) + Car / Car Allowance + Managers Bonus

Our operation at Farndale Road in Staveley has undergone a multi million pound investment over the last few years and we are now seeking an Operations Manager to continue the success of the upper tier COMAH site. This is a role like no other in Flogas as you will be managing the bulk storage and distribution facility, warehouse storage and the cylinder and vessel refurb plant. You will also oversee and manage the operational performance of our new satellite site in Burton-on-Trent.
Reporting into the General Manager for the region, you will be results driven, commercially aware and have a passion for developing yourself and others. You will demonstrate a commitment to delivering excellence across the teams through inspiring leadership whilst maintaining a culture of customer service, operational efficiency, safety and continuous improvement.
The Role
- Leadership and engagement of the team at Chesterfield, including direct management and development of supervisory colleagues.
- Effectively managing the site in accordance with business and legislative requirements
- Managing safety in accordance with the Safety Management system & maintaining a positive safety culture.
- Adhering with transport compliance, including vehicle maintenance, drivers’ hours and Tachograph regulations in addition to Working Time Directive.
- Managing compliance of company processes and procedures relating to sales, stocks, financial controls within the operating system (CODAS)
- Complying to the companies Operating Procedures and Works Instructions
About You
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health & Safety
- Knowledge of working to Health & Safety and employment law good practice
- Proven experience of effective process management and financial controls procedures
- Able to schedule multiple tasks effectively
- Managers CPC and NEBOSH qualified (Ideal but not Essential)
