We are currently recruiting a Service Delivery/Operations Supervisor to join our events team in Bolton.
As a Service Delivery/Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a team of security personnel and ensuring the safety and security of all event attendees. Reporting To:
Service Delivery Support Manager (Events & Stadiums)
Role
- To supervise and manage a team of event security and stewarding staff during events
- To ensure that Key Performance Indicators are met and any areas of improvement are identified.
- To provide support to teams leaders and operational staff across a portfolio of events, venues and stadiums.
- To schedule rosters ensuring shfits are scheduled correctly as per client requirements.
- To ensure that any issues are promptly raised to the appropriate manager as not to effect shift coverage or client’s satisfaction
- To complete regular site visits and employee welfare checks to ensure compliance with company policies and SIA licensing requirements
- To ensure every event, venue and stadium have sufficient welfare and logistics equipment on site
- To review, complete and implement site documentation including crowd management plans, event briefings, and risk assessments in line with the relevant British Standards and relevant Health & Safety legislation.
- To assist the Service Delivery Support Manager in the mobilisation of new events, venues and stadiums
- To support and coach new and existing employees through the Mandatory Training Programme
- To conduct HR support duties including investigations, disciplinaries, employment reviews, probationary reviews, and annual appraisals with employees in accordance with company policies and in consultation with the Business Support Team
- To assist the Business Support Team in the recruitment of new employees ensuring selected applicants can demonstrate the required standards as per the requirements of the role.
- To ensure a safe working environment, which adheres to statutory obligations aligned to Health and Safety at Work legislation.
- To undertake such additional duties as are reasonably commensurate with the level of the post.
- A valid frontline SIA licence (minimum Door Supervision) is essential
- A full UK driving licence is essential
- A Level 3 Spectator Safety (or higher) qualification is prefrred
- A recognised Health & Safety qualification such as IOSH Managing Safety is preferred
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential
- A flexible approach to work is essential
- The ability to be pro-active and use own initiative is essential
- Previous supervisory experience in the security industry is essential
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential
- Excellent communication and customer service skills is essential
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal is essential
- The confidence and ability to deal with difficult situations (including those involving conflict) is essential.
- Eligibilty to work in the UK is essential
- A 5 year verifiable work history is essential
